Artist's Statement
I first discovered a passion for photography when I spent a year in the Far East in the early 1960's. I then began working to capture some of the beauty I found in this world for myself and to share with others.
Primarily, I've developed as a photographer by taking many thousands of pictures and by attending various seminars and workshops over the years. It took many years and many images to develop my skills as a photographer and I continue to love working in this medium.
I'm also very fortunate to still find landscapes stunningly beautiful and often surprising. I travel all over America and across the world seeking to capture those special images that make me stop and refuse to move on. While I search for images that are special to me, there is a unique joy when my viewers discover a particular image resonating for them.
Knowing that others appreciate my work and wish to live with my images in their daily lives inspires me.
